Try exiting Firefox via the 3-bar menu button -> Exit. I've found that using the close button in Firefox instead of the Exit button will leave a ghost Firefox in your Task Manager. Since I've started going the latter route, I haven't had this issue.

How do I add close button to this?

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/quit-firefox/ Quit Firefox Quit Firefox provides statusbar and Toolbar buttons to quickly shut down Firefox. It is especially useful for laptop users.

It's in the lower right corner, right next to the help menu (the '?').

I'll try that next time I have to shut down, thanks.
