Hi - I just upgraded from a 3.X Firefox to 6.02 (On Windows 7, if it matters).

Now, I cannot right-click-"delete"-done anymore on any of the items I have in my drop-down "bookmarks" menu. Just to clarify, I am NOT talking about the "unsorted bookmarks" subfolder, which opens the whole bookmarks manager. I am talking of the "first level" so to speak, when I clock on bookmarks in the file menu list at the top. I DO use separate subfolders, but also have a lot of transient bookmarks that I only need for an hour or so.

What I was always able to do until now was to simply right-click-delete. Now I have to open up the extra manager, because the right-click delete option is grayed out. When you often bookmark stuff (lots of it) for only very short time, having to go into a separate manager window and then doing your stuff there and then closing it is a lot of extra streps.

Anybody can tell me how I can get it to allow me to delete it in the simple-drop down as I always used to?

Try:

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
