printing email

when I print email accessed from firefox, it prints very large and part of text does not print. Setting say "fit to page". this happens when email is accessed through outlook or xfinity comcast. When I reduce print size (say to 50%) the text is smaller but it has a large left margin and flows off the right side of the page. I have no problem printing downloaded items but do have this problem printing items from Blackboard.

Hi, is this problem is on your Windows computer or your iOS device (iPhone, iPad)? I'm going to assume Windows.

Most webmail sites have a button or menu item to show a print-optimized message layout without all the sidebars, commonly in a popup window. Not sure about Blackboard.

One possible reason for a distorted printout is if Firefox is using the wrong paper size. You may see this in the "More settings" panel above the scale. Typically that will say US Letter or A4; is that set correctly on yours?

Yes it is Windows. Paper size is correct. It printed your response in small type when Format chosen Original or Simplified

The text size can vary based on the "width" of the message. If there is a graphic element, that can cause "shrink to fit" to make the text very small. The "Simplify" option removes a lot of things that are less important so it may make the printout more readable -- at least, that's the idea, I never use it myself.

What about the margins. Do those at least look normal? Do they seem to match what you see on the panel next to the preview?
