Downloads and scroll aren't appearing
When I click the downloads button in the top right hand corner of the screen, the downloads box does not appear. However, moving my cursor over where it should be changes the cursor, and clicking opens a recently downloaded document - it's like it's invisible. Opening the downloads managed via the menu still works.
Also, clicking the scroll wheel on my mouse doesn't change the cursor to the small arrow which allows you to scroll around a point - but moving the mouse does scroll the page. Again, as if the graphic is invisible.
I noticed this yesterday, but can't think of anything on my computer that I changed.
I've tried disabling all add-ons, and resetting firefox as per the troubleshooting recommendation, but it didn't work.
It's a minor annoyance, but could anyone help?
Thanks!
Also, the "automatically add" troubleshooting button on this 'Ask a Question' page doesn't seem to display anything - possibly the same problem?

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
Did you actually delete the localstore.rdf file?
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)

I have this problem too, disabling hardware acceleration didn't help.
EDIT: Ok well weirdly, I just restarted Firefox in safe mode (no reset) and the download/scroll things were working. Then I closed safe mode and started up normally, and now they are working too!
EDIT: Ok I was wrong, disabling hardware acceleration fixed it.

Disabling hardware acceleration worked!
Any idea why?
