why is firefox so ridiculously slow, unusable

Ever since 4 was released, Firefox has been getting slower and slower. Right now 7 is about unusable. It takes so ridiculously long to load ALL pages that I find myself using IE more and more every day. I am getting ready to give up on Firefox all together and move on.

well... any ideas mozilla?? seems like there is more than just one of us with this issue

I reverted back to FF4.01 and am exploring Google Chrome unfortunately. I don't have all the crashes n such with 4.01 than with the newer version. Most likely b/c of their rapid release blunders. Firefox use to be a great browser but is lacking in quality now trying to compete with Google Chrome. In a Few months Chrome will be the number 2 browser unless Mozilla gets their act together.

Firefox 4.01 is not a solution but a work a round though
