thank you FredMcD. Sorry my question should have been more specific. I can access the "mobile" page but I need the "full site" page. I have tried both links & different search engines. I have emailed the site customer service. This is a site I have accessed for years and years. Not sure why I can only get the "mobile" site and not the "full' site.

Fred McD, I have "poked around" other websites and have no problems at all. I used a different computer today to access the site I am having a problem with.

The same problem occurred. This leads me to belief that the problem is with the site itself.

This company recently changed their whole website. Prior to this recent change they had what they call a "Full Site." The new site is designed for mobiles. I can get into the mobile site but cannot access features of my account because it tells me to "Go to Full Site to do xyz"

I will keep your instructions about the cookies & cache though! Never know when I might need them in the future and I had no idea how to do that.

Your help is most appreciated. Thanks again!

I think it could be something in the site settings. Have you logged off the site and then returned?

Many times. This has been an issue for 2 weeks now.

Have you heard from the site support?

Try this. First log off of the site.

Remove History For One Site Open the History Manager <Control><Shift> H. In the search bar, enter the name of the site. Right click on one of the listings and select Forget About This Site. This should remove all information, including any passwords / settings.

After, go back to the main page. Do not log in yet. What page is displayed? Normal, or not?

Hi, I can't get in at all from the UK! - I'm getting 'The connection has timed out.'

Probably a bit obvious, but I suppose there isn't a Desktop button at the bottom of the page by any chance?

Also, you are using an old version of Firefox, and an old version of Shockwave Flash, so both need updating - possibly a connection with your issue?

Just occurred to me: What happens if you use a different browser?

Fred McD, We are making progress! I am able to enter the site now but "Time Out" when I attempt to go to the section I need.

I have sent a constant flow of emails to the site's customer service.

btw, I am in India. I notice Scribe_uk is getting the "Time Out" msg too.

I will keep trying!

Scribe_uk, hmmmmmm I just had my computer worked on, FireFox is new & I thought it was updated. How do I update it?

Shockwave Flash . . . same thing, I don't have a clue what that is or how to update it.

Timeout, is there any information for the timeout? I noticed that the site was not encrypted.

To make sure it just does not need more time to load you can change the timeout figure in Firefox in about:config (http.response.timeout = 300000) That setting is 5 mins about.

Hi guigs2, thanks! Where do I go in Firefox to change the timeout figure?

Timeout info msg is: The connection has timed out

The server at www.accountnow.com is taking too long to respond.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web

In order to change your Firefox Configuration please do the following steps :

  1. In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
  2. Click I'll be careful, I promise! to continue to the about:config page.
  3. Search for http.response.timeout in the search and double click on the figure and increase the number.

However please also try the previous troubleshooting first to make sure its not Flash or an outdated driver.
