Thank you for the quick responce. Sorry I was vague. I have a samsung galaxy prevail 2.2.2 (boost) my first android. I sent the phone to samsung to fix the first week I owned the phone, and again one week after it was returned to me from samsung. I then accepted the limitations of phone ( I have been told boost is the reason) I have not been happy with the lack of functionality and or the various things it does all by it's self. I feel that google is an manoply with it's tenacles in many aspects of use on the internet, cell phones etc... In my ignorance I did not know that android meant google. I don't want to go through google to down load anything for my phone, it seems I must consent to have my phone monitored by google take information on cell use and apps down loaded etc... I have looked at rooting my phone but haven't found a rooting that is specific to the froyo OS that is on my (boost) prevail. I would like to add apps to my phone without the need to by entrapped by google ( my feelings). So now I come to Firefox because in internet use with Firefox as ISP I have found Firefox very willing to give apps without any stipulation or investgation of my person.

I hope I have not rambled on or with indepth (cough, cough) made my initual inquiry less understood. If anyone can advise a very limited programer (cough, cough) on how to root with very simple instructions please advise

I, nor should anyone else here, should advise you on how to break the user agreement of your phone. Google.com is full of search result on how to "root" your phone.

It's possible to root your phone, as the Samsung Prevail is the same device I bought my 11yr old daughter for Christmas, and I rooted it. But I can not advise you on how that is done on a FIREFOX SUPPORT SITE

In relation to your original question, as mbrubeck stated you can download the FF Android BROWSER from the Android Market or the FTP. (and FYI, Firefox is not an ISP)

hi, sorry email was in spam, don't get to computer, internet often. I do appreciate your responce. I am sorry if I am asking for the impossible. If with all information, model #, android,basband,kernel versions, build #and hardware version on prevail given to you, and not on this site, is it at all possible for u to assist me in rooting, and or, give to me a site, person for doing a root.
