FireFox 93 will not work on many sweepstakes sites like uwinit.com, winloot.com. We are sorry but it appears that the page you are trying to reach is currently unavailable. Please try again later.
FireFox 93 will not work on many sweepstakes sites like uwinit.com, winloot.com. We are sorry but it appears that the page you are trying to reach is currently unavailable. Please try again later. Chrome is working on same sites. I use FireFox to enter sweeps and it is mostly useless to me now. I am using Windows 10, Norton SafeWeb, "Cookies are not important to me", Roboform. Can I revert to a usable version of FireFox, or can you tell me how to fix it?

It does not matter how I try to access winloot.com, as after a few seconds, it gives me same message. How can I get back to FireFox 92?
Please refer to my previous reply.

Hi Howard, is that a message coming from the website?
Any difference if you reload the page bypassing the cache -- either:
- Shift+click the Reload button
- Ctrl+Shift+R
- Ctrl+F5
Any difference if you visit the site indirectly, for example, do a Google search for the site and click it in the results?
In case a proxy server is involved, could you switch this setting and see whether it makes any difference. Either:
- Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Settings (previously "Options")
- Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
- Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences
- Any system: type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it
In the search box at the top of the page, type proxy and Firefox should filter to the "Settings" button, which you can click.
Try "No proxy".
Any difference?
The message was from Winloot.com. "We are sorry but it appears that the page you are trying to reach is currently unavailable. Please try again later." Reloading page or going to page via search made not difference. Changing proxy server made no difference Chrome works.
Does it matter which address you try? For example:
In addition to FireFox 93 not able to access many sweepstakes sites, It is also too slow in loading pages. How do I go back to FireFox 92?
Old versions are always available, but not recommended. Do you use Firefox Sync? You hopefully can use Sync to restore data to the new profile that is created when you run an older version.
See: Install an older version of Firefox
Before that, did you test in Firefox's Safe/Troubleshoot Mode? In that mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, any userChrome.css/userContent.css files, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.
If Firefox is running:
You can restart Firefox in Safe/Troubleshoot Mode using either:
- "3-bar" menu button > Help > Troubleshoot Mode... (before Fx88: Restart with Add-ons Disabled)
- (menu bar) Help menu > Troubleshoot Mode... (before Fx88: Restart with Add-ons Disabled)
and OK the restart. A small dialog should appear. Click the Open button (before Fx88: "Start in Safe Mode" button).
If Firefox is not running:
Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox. (On Mac, hold down the option/alt key instead of the Shift key.) A small dialog should appear. Click the Open button (before Fx88: "Start in Safe Mode" button).
Note: Don't use the Refresh without first reviewing this article to understand what will be deleted: Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings.
Any improvement?

I dumped my cache and all sweeps sites work again. Thanks for the help
The sweepstakes sites stopped working the next day; Giant-sweeps.com, mondosweeps.com, sweepscrush.com, sweepsloot.com, uwinit.com, winloot.com and pch.com. I tried emptying cache again and it did not work. I have been wasting my time using Chrome to enter on these sites and I really hope someone will fix FireFox 93.0 so it will work again.

I shut off "I don't care about cookies" for FireFox 93 and I can access the sweepstakes sites again. Apparently I had to shut off FireFox or restart computer after disabling "I don't care about cookies" to stop it from keeping me from accessing sweeps sites. Starting FireFox in safe mode did not help as FireFox was not fully functional.
