Making a file not read only so it will stay.
Having the error, firefox is already running, but not responding. I looked for help on the site and it appears that the Mozillia folder on the main drive which it is located on needs to not be read only. I do not have firefox.exe running when I look in the task manager. I select the mozillia folder, select options unclick the read only. update and it says I need admin permissions. I look and do have admin account, I click make changes, close the folder but when I look again it is back to read only. I change it off read only, restart machine and it is back to read only. I can not load firefox due to this issue. Any suggestions? I even tried to change it is safe mode, and back to read only it goes. I even uninstalled and reinstalled, no change.

Only a check mark in the Read-only box means that a folder or file is Read-only.
Windows doesn't check all the files in a folder so instead displays a green block to indicate that it is not sure.
You need to look at each file individually to see if any are read-only.
Easiest to do that is to make the Attributes visible in "View > Details" mode: Choose Details in Windows Explorer.
Do you still have a default Firefox Profile Folder?
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
