I have tried uninstalling and deleting the old folder and re installing and I get the same result. I can open settings but can't see any of the text so I can't change anything. If I need change a setting or something please let me know. I can provide a screen shot if needed

You're welcome.

Do you know which step in particular helped to solve your problem?

That may help to tell something about its cause.

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

You can use one of these to start Firefox in Safe Mode:

  • On Windows, hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox with a double-click on the Firefox desktop shortcut
  • On Mac, hold down the Options key while starting Firefox
  • Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

Do you see any text in the browsing (internet) area?

It is possible that the font that Firefox uses to display that text is corrupted or missing.

You can use the System File Checker to check if font files are missing or corrupted.
Open a cmd.exe window as Administrator:
Start, click Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.
After the cmd.exe prompt, type: sfc.exe /scannow
