Thunderbird 52.8 freezes and will not open when Lightning 5.4 enabled
Hi, I have opened Thunderbird in safe mode and it works fine. I open Thunderbird with Lightning enabled and it just freezes, Task manager shows it as not responding and the CPU % goes up and down from 10 - 30% - the memory amount is 280MB. I then have to cancel the task to close the program. I have removed and installed Lightning but it does the same thing. I use the Thunderbird lightning calendar and sync it with my Sony phone using the MyPhoneexplorer add on, though with this add on removed and just the calendar enabled it will still not open. Any Ideas how to get my calendar back please.

Update - if thunderbird is left long enough it brings up the error Script: chrome://calendar/content/calendar-unifinder.js:895
either stopping or continuing does not open the Calender.
Can anyone help me please?
So you are saying this happens with BOTH lightning enabled and disabled?
Did you try https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/safe-mode-thunderbird ?
Hi, No, if lightning is enabled the script error occurs and no entries show in the Calendar or in the left hand pane. I get no errors with lightning disabled or run in safe mode but have no calendar or task function.

My current fix has been to roll thunderbird back to version 52.7 and the calendar now opens and works. I have disabled the update function of thunderbird as assume the error is linked to the new version of thunderbird i was running. Lightning does not show a version compatible with thunderbird 52.8 on https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Calendar/Calendar_Versions.
