How do I whitelist a website domain for pop-ups?
In the past we could whitelist whole web site domains (e.g. *.microsoft.com) for allowing pop-ups, but with the current version of Firefox, the * is no longer an option. How do we go about allowing this versus populating every website under that domain?

Try to white list https://microsoft.com to see if that includes sub domains. If you need HTTP links as well then also add http://microsoft.com

can someone give me a step by step way to first find where the whitelist is and secondly how I add a particular url to that list.....
Hi mikep:
For Firefox 56-60, you can check that here:
- Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
- Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
- Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences
- Any system: type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it
In the search box at the top of the page, type pop and Firefox should filter to the relevant section, and you can click the "Exceptions" button to the right of "Block pop-up windows".
Whoops, that button is "Exceptions" instead of "Settings"

When I do that I get.... Sorry! There are no results in Options for "about:preferences".
Am I doing something wrong?
thanks, mike
Hi Mike, once you are already viewing the Options page, with its small search box, enter pop to filter the page to showing only pop-up related settings.
Ah-ha! That worked. I miss read your earlier instructions.... thanks so much! mike
