A couple of months bac, I tryed downloading a couple of updates. I went thru the procedure. (Save and then the donwload button) . It was OK, until the download button or arrow, failed to appear. I tried several times since, but to noavail. What happened? Was some sort of file removed? If so, how do I get it back?

Hello Pickles729, in your system details it seems you have some malicious extensions, you can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

also, check for malicious programs in your pc : Open Programs and Features by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click Programs, and then click Programs and Features, then click Uninstall for any unknown program you have.

finally, delete in your profile folder the User.js file you have ?

The user.js file does not exist by default. If you create the file, forget it, if you have not create the file then delete the User.js file, to see if the problem goes away (some programs create and write in the file also).

thank you
