It had a virus. Get Antivirus.
Your System Details shows;
Installed Plug-ins
Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0
Shockwave Flash 19.0 r0
Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.
You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.
Flash: Grab the uninstaller from here: Uninstall Flash Player | Windows Uninstall Flash Player | Mac
Then reinstall the latest version.
Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).
Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.
Flash Player Version: 22.0.0.209 Flash Player (Linux) Version 11.2.202.632
https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ Direct link scans current system and browser Note: Other software is offered in the download.
https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, Win IE . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download.
thanks for helping. uninstalled shockwave flash then reinstalled v22.0 but still getting the same mozglue.dll app crash and plugin container stopped i see in my programs list that i still have adobe shockwave player 12.2, which was recently installed, undoubtedly while i was trying to load the most recent version of flash (but didnt uninstall the old one first)
should i uninstall adobe shockwave player 12.2? how is that different than shockwave flash (i know the former is a program, the latter a plugin, but anything else in terms of functionality)?
anything else as i still dont have a fix and browser gets slower and slower > freezes > have to close and reopen over and over...
many thanks for your help !!
shockwave director for netscape also loaded as a plugin should i delete that as well?
should i disable hardware acceleration in mozilla and in adobe flash?
what else could cause this mozglue.dll appcrash?
thanks !
Follow my last post and use the uninstaller first.
i did...
still got the warnings
then used safe mode and warnings stopped (at least for now) antivirus toolbar extension seemed to cause the problem disabled it and for now no problem
however, in the past it took a minimum amount of time in the browser to occur
any other thoughts welcome; hopefully its gone. ill post again if recurs
thanks for your help and interest !
ooops.. problem back again !
strange, when i test in safe mode its hard to even test because problem takes a while to develop for some reason...
any further thoughts welcome. this problem adds hours of computer time to my day :(((
