My mails in the Inbox folder don't get retrieved
I encountered a problem after installing Bitdefender Plus 2016 with my old mails not displaying anymore. So I tried to reset my inbox so that Thunderbird could reload all my old mails since the new ones were displayed properly. But apparently Yahoo doesn't save your mails for any longer than a month anymore so I can't get them there... After checking my profile folder I found all my old mails in the Inbox.mozmsgs folder but I can't figure out how to retrieve and display them in Thunderbird again. I restored the Inbox and popstate files from my trash but that didn't fix it. Would be very grateful for any ideas!

Try this: Copy the missing files from the *.mozmsgs folder in your profile to a new folder on your Desktop. Access folder on desktop and Rename file by changing the file extension from .wdseml to .eml and then use ImportExportTools Add-On to import the missing messages back into Thunderbird.
ImportExporttool
In order to install a downloaded extension, please do the following:
- Click the menu button and choose Add-ons.
- Drag your downloaded XPI file to the Add-ons Manager tab and drop it.
or
- Click the menu button and choose Add-ons.
- Click the gear icon at the top-right corner to the left of the search box and select Install Add-on From File…
- Locate the XPI file you downloaded and click Open.
- You may need to restart Thunderbird when prompted.
