After many years with (up-to-date) Firefox as my browser, I have enjoyed being automatically signed in to Google. A few days ago, Google started requiring me to sign in for every new session. There is no issue with another person creating an issue. The problem seems to be Firefox will not save cookies and data. In Privacy and Security and in "Clear Data" the "cookies and site data" box is NOT checked since I do not want them deleted. The "cached web content" box IS checked because it can be deleted. When I click on "Clear" the "Clear Data" box disappears. When I open the box again, the "cookies and site data" box is again checked even though I had unchecked. The "cached web content" box is checked which is correct. There is no box labeled "save". My only choices are "cancel" or "delete". I have refreshed Firefox and deleted 3rd party apps. How can I make Firefox remember to save "cookies and data"? I do not want to have to sign in to Google every session.

Latest Version Private Browsing Mode

Hello.

'Autoplay->Block Video and Audio' selected.

2 websites listed, which I did not place there, 'Allow Audio and Video' selected:

1. about:welcome 2. aboutwelcomeprivate welcome

'Removing' them causes them to be automatically 're-appear.'

Suggestion: about:config, .isolateBy.privateBrowsing,' and change 'True' to False.

Changing the 'above value' does not remove the 2 'allowed' websites nor does it stop A and V from playing automatically.

Not possible to Block all Video and Audio Automatically 'or' am I missing an 'obvious' solution?

Hello,

I just did a full windows defender scan and it turns out Trojan:Script/Wacatac.H!ml popped up when it was done and it said the files affected were:

containerfile: C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\.default-release\cache2\entries\InsertHashHere

file: C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\.default-release\cache2\entries\InsertHashHere->(GZip)

I removed the hashes or whatever they were behind the entries, I was wondering if this was a false positive? I didn't notice any slowed down or hacked accounts, also windows defender quarantined it. I've also reinstalled Firefox and deleted all folders associated with Mozilla in AppData.

I recently started having a problem with my banking website. Before I could investigate or report it, Mozilla released a bug fix 1923500 "Firefox 131 Enhanced Tracking Protection major breakage of multiple banks Bill Pay services" I have updated to Firefox 131 however, there may still be a problem, however before I report it I'd like to verify if it's simply that their link is broken. Let me explain: On my bank's website there is "Payment Inquiry" link with this link "https://paybills.MyBankName.com/imm/Auth/SLO/4661?ReturnUrl="

What happens is that it sends me back to the login screen, I navigate to the Payment Inquiry again, click the link... rinse and repeat... in an endless loop. I suspect that the URL is malformed because there is nothing following the "=" sign. I would expect something to follow the equal sign. Is this indeed a bad URL? Should I pursue with my bank? I only ask because is seemed more than a coincidence that this occurred near the same time as bug fix 1923500.

Background: I've recently (few weeks ago) changed my email address for my firefox account. The original address became a secondary address. Then i deleted the secondary (old address). So i was left with only 1 primary address. Now to the problem - today ive done a fresh windows install and i wanted to recover all my settings and tabs from my synced account. Ive logged in to my mozilla account using the new primary email (as for the old email when i try to log in it says i need to use primary email, so it should be still connected i think, but i can't use it to log in). Now after i logged in (using my new primary email) all my stuff was gone, as if it was a new firefox account. No old device connected, nothing. Ive literally checked my firefox acc today morning (and synced!!) to make sure everything's good and now theres nothing. I still have access to my old email if it helps, nothing bad happened there but i don't know if that helps.
