Cannot delete messages. Need to replace corrupt Trash folder.

Trying to follow instructions for "Cannot delete messages." Steps 1-2 OK. Step 3 says "Open the Mail ... folder in your file manager ..." (I am POP Mail). How do I locate this folder ?
