Firefox installed an update and deleted my toolbars! How do I get them back?

I had several toolbars that I was using with Firefox and they worked fine, and after Mozilla updated Firefox the other day, my toolbars all disappeared! When I went under "View" and selected "Toolbars" my toolbars were listed and checked but would not display. Sadly, I clicked on Reset Firefox, hoping that would clear things up, and instead it really reset Firefox to the beginning and now I have NO toolbars to choose from. My previous toolbars are not listed in the extensions file or the add-on file. How do I go about getting them back and/or finding out if they are compatible with Firefox? Unfortunately, it seems Firefox is becoming less and less compatible with anything!

What toolbars were they? If you can give me the names I can take a look and see if they are compatible with Firefox :)

If you click on Reset it removes your extensions and toolbars, as it is intended to reset Firefox to default settings to troubleshoot problems (extensions often cause problems in Firefox). Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

One was the Google toolbar, which I now know is not compatible, but Firefox claims some of the Google features are available in Firefox. Where do I find those? I want the Google maps feature, and I did not see that in Firefox. I had an NPR radio toolbar that allowed me to listen to radio stations around the country. I don't know the name of the "extension", because it is no longer listed in the list of extensions that were there. I would also like the Yahoo toolbar, but that probably isn't compatible either!

Google Toolbar: Google Toolbar is no longer compatible with Firefox - Here are some alternatives

Yahoo Toolbar: http://us.toolbar.yahoo.com/

The NPR Toolbar I'm not sure what that is, but you can always google search it and find the toolbar (or a similar one).

Thank you. I'll give those a try!

I have Firefox Win 10.0 in 64-bit Windows 7. When I define a custom toolbar, the toolbar usually reappears correctly a few times when Firefox is restarted, but then sooner or later my toolbar disappears. As a result, I have to continually re-enter the toolbar. How can I make Firefox retain my toolbar? (I also stopped upgrading Firefox automatically, because upgrading also wipes out my toolbar!)

Hi rtcompton

Sounds like a problem with the localstore.rdf file.

You can check for problems with the localstore.rdf file.
