Hi - I signed out of a different Firefox account and can't get back in, as the password I have isn't correct. If I change my password, I may lose my bookmarks, etc. I exported the bookmarks to html and also backed them up (json). If I change my password, will I be able to restore the bookmarks using one of those backups? I backed up "all bookmarks." Does that include the bookmarks toolbar and mobile bookmarks as well as the bookmarks menu and other bookmarks? Thank you in advance!

Resting the password of the Sync account only clears data stored on the Sync server and your current profile shouldn't be affected if you still have all your data. Once you reconnect mobile devices using the new password, you should see the mobile bookmarks once again on desktop devices. Note that you can generate a Recovery key that you can use instead of the password.

If you need to restore the bookmarks then it shouldn't be a problem to restore a JSON backup or import an HTML backup.

Thank you very much, Cor-el - I appreciate your help. Another question, if that's all right. If I use this account on my other computer instead of doing a recovery of the other account, can I synch the two computers and then back up the files from the account I'm no longer using to both computers? If so, will the duplicate bookmarks merge or will I get lots of duplicate bookmarks? Thanks again!
