Encryption activated by default when replying (78.2.2)
Hi,
I am using TB 78.2.2 with an OpenPGP key that has been imported in order to decrypt received emails (that are encrypted when arriving at my providers inbox). By default, I want outgoing e-mails not to be encrypted and that's the option I have chosen in Account settings ->End to end encryption -> Do not enable encryption by default.
When I write a new message, it works as intended, encryption is not enabled by default. But when I reply to a message that is encrypted (because of the way I have configured my inbox to encrypt every message that arrives), encryption is enabled by default and I have to manually choose "Do not encrypt" in the Security drop down menu.
Is there anyway to disable using encryption by default on replies?
Thank you in advance.

Found my answer, but I don't see why the end-user shouldn't be able to have the choice: Why is encryption automatically enabled when I reply to an encrypted message?
When replying, the default is to quote (include) the information that was in the message that you reply to. Your correspondent might have good reasons to encrypt their message, so you should be very careful when including the original text in a new message you send. It is advisable to continue using encryption. If you are unable to encrypt, and if you consider to reply without encryption, you should probably remove all the quoted text from the email message you are writing. ''
Is there a setting in the config editor to override that behavior?
Hi
As the "Reply" function includes the content that the sender decided needs to be encrypted, you should not use reply without encryption.
However you can easily create a new email to the sender - not using the 'reply' function - and answer them that way without encryption, and without including the content of their message.
Hope that helps, Agnes
You can disable quoted text in replies by unchecking 'Automatically quote...' in the Composition & Addressing section of Account Settings. Also, TB by default only quotes the selected portion of a message you're replying to, so you can leave auto-quote enabled and reply to a selection for certain messages.
