Firefox won't let me log in, keeps saying "Create a new account"
When I try to log into my account on Firefox iOS, the "scan QR code" thing doesn't work. When I go to the address on Desktop, it says:
"Pair using an app
Did you use the system camera? You must pair from within a Firefox app."
So I tried logging in with my email. I used all the emails on my account. I even added a new one just to see if that would work. It brings me to the "Create a new account" page.
When it HAS worked (before I switched phones in the last month):
I've had this problem for over a year now:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1284415
It won't sync at all. I'm still having this problem. E.g. It was January 10th. It said it hadn't synced since 12/20. I click the sync button. It does not sync.
Two problems in one. I'm frustrated. I've had a variation of this problem for over a year now. It's definitely not my phone, as I've had three different phones in that time period.

Does anyone have any ideas? I've been having this and similar problems for over a year now.
Hi x,
You might caught up in this bug. Please note that pairing is only supported in Firefox 67+. Can you try again from an updated Firefox version?

I'm using an updated Firefox version. I'm on 86.0.1 (64-bit).
It automatically redirects me on my desktop to: https://accounts.stage.mozaws.net/pair/unsupported
I tried using https://firefox.com/pair , which actually DOES lead to a QR code
And as I said, when I try to log in on mobile, it says I have to create a new account, even though I already have an account.
-- Okay, I just tried to sign up for a new account with the same email and same previous password. Now it looks like I basically have two accounts under the same email??? They are not synced!
That's weird, for sure..
Can you try to disable Sync and wait for a day or two and then enable it back?
Here's how you can disable Firefox Sync: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/disable-firefox-sync
