I am using Windows 8 with the latest Adobe Flash and Firefox installed and I have noticed If I am on a website that contains youtube videos embedded or If I am playing youtube videos from the youtube site directly that it will often freeze Firefox. It doesn't crash or close the program but freezes for a small amount of time which can actually be annoying.

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?

You can check for problems caused by recent Flash updates and try these:

  • disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
  • disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Anti-Virus is Microsoft Security Essentials and firewall is the one built into the OS as well. I'll try some of the links you have provided at the bottom!

I am experiencing this issue as well. Can't even load twitter.com on firefox. It works fine on IE and Chrome.

I have had to change the encoding settings to true but pages just don't load normally anymore even after scrubbing the install and personalizations.

There's got to be a bug in 16.02!

Thanks for fixing it.
