I understand that I can either allow or disallow all redirects. But I only want to allow some redirects.

I like the fact that Firefox stops a website from redirecting me. However, there are some websites that I want to redirect me. Clicking links in Gmail, for example. Or sometimes when you click a link to download a zip file.

I just want to enter a domain for select websites to allow only those to redirect me.

Is there a setting I've missed (doubtful) or is there an add-on that can do this? I've searched for add-ons, but none of them seem to have this funtion. So please don't link me to an add-on unless you actually know for certain if it does what I've suggested.

The setting in "Tools > Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

You sure about that? It does say "Warn me...," and every result in my search has people talking about how it helps to stop malicious sites.

Not to call your knowledge into question, but I just don't see how such a black and white answer can be accurate.
