Ever since Windows 10 had a major update a few months ago, my Thunderbird is virtually unusable. It will stay open as long as you only want to read emails, but if you leave it for a few hours, it will just freeze and nothing you click on will open. In addition, the second I try to open an email to compose a message, it will crash instantly. I have sent a million crash reports to no avail. I also have my quick books set up to email invoices and PO's through Thunderbird and it will send the command to open an email, but as soon as the email opens, the whole Thunderbird crashes again.

Therefore, I cannot write let alone send emails through Thunderbird anymore but I do seem to be receiving all the emails into my inboxes. I need a solution to this ASAP because it is not letting me get my work done. I have another webmail based client I am using for my work for now, but QuickBooks won't send through there so I still can't email forms.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right way to report the crash reports, but it wouldn't let me just cut and paste the number alone. There are about 50 of them, but I put 3 as I'm assuming they will all be the same reason. I would really appreciate some input to this problem. Thanks so much in advance.

Sounds like this might be an addon extension.

Please restart Thunderbird in Safe Mode and report back on whether you can open compose 'Write ' window and send emails.

In Thunderbird: Help > Restart with Addons disabled.

Crash signature InvalidArrayIndex_CRASH | nsTArray_Impl<T>::ElementAt | nsCommandManager::CommandStatusChanged is related to mms autocorrect add-on, which I see you have installed.

Also described at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1308923#c29

If it works ok in Safe Mode, restart as normal and then disable mmsAutoCorrect addon, restart thunderbird and test to see if 'Write' window and sending etc works.

Hi wayne, guess you got to same point just before me :)

AMCSYL,

Can you give us an update on your crash situation in a week when version 60.5.0 comes out?
