How can address book LISTS be synced between instances of Thunderbird on different computers?
I use a Linux desktop and a Windows laptop. It would be nice if Thunderbird could sync address books between machines. But more specifically, there has to be a way to sync the *address lists* I create, so I don't need to maintain two sets -- with the attendant danger of using an out-of-date copy. Any joy?

address book sync with major providers Google and outlook is possible via add-ons
Google https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/gcontactsync/?src=hp-dl-mostpopular
Outlook https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/tbsync/?src=search
How they cope with address lists I do not know. But obviously if one can sync to a cloud provider as above, so can any other devices with contacts.
Thanks, Matt. I do use gContactSync. Since I have a Gmail account anyway, it was the path of least resistance. But it -- or Gmail? -- does not seem to recognize address lists, and so can't pass that information on between instances of Thunderbird.

I don't understand what you are getting at here. Is this a warning that my data is vulnerable to hackers?
