I have downloaded and installed the "current" version of Firefox now 3 times in 3 days. Each time, I get a version of Firefox that will open Vaudix advertising pop-ups as soon as I open a browser and with with every link I click. This has never happened with Firefox before, and does not happen with IE. Firefox needs to fix this, or I will never again use Firefox.

hello billh4321, no genuine version of firefox contains any of that crap you have described - you'll probably have a problem with adware that is running on your system and hijacking the browser. please perform all these steps:

  1. reset firefox (this will keep your bookmarks and passwords)
  2. afterwards go to the firefox menu ≡ > addons > extensions and in case there are still extensions listed there, disable them.
  3. finally run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner to make sure that adware isn't present in other places of your system as well.

The Firefox browser from mozilla.org does not come with this or any other junk.

So either you are downloading Firefox from a non Mozilla source or your system is infected with this and it shows up in Firefox when you start it.

Firefox is sadly becoming one of the fewer applications that is not bundle with anything questionable these days.
