So I reinstall my PC. As I remember, I never before do anything with passwords and bookmarks. Maybe I am wrong, but I was think about to this is all on my Mozilla Account. Now when I look, its probably not. So for my "luck" I have all passwords and bookmarks and history on my smartphone but I have one crazy problem. When I try to login on my mozilla account none of passwords I know doesn't work, so I change password and now when I log in my account with new password doesn't sync anything from my smartphone, but my smartphone also won't sync anything because of changed password. If I log out from my smartphone and log in again with new password, do I lost all settings, passwords, bookmarks and other stuff?

I am trying to fix Firefox performance issues. I recently changed to Firefox to escape forced ads on chrome and the lost support for the Ublock origin. But I am having difficulty performing tasks and pages That I used to be able to do on Chrome with no difficulty.

When I open multiple tabs at once the tabs freeze up when trying to load and already opened tabs freeze and anything streaming also freeze. It takes tons of time to load multiple tabs and even sometimes single tabs depending on the website. This never happened with Chrome and I understand Firefox is not as refined as Chrome and is far younger than Chrome is but I feel like it shouldn't be this bad. Is there any settings maybe or maybe settings/preferences in the config area area that might help with faster performance and increased multitasking ability in the Firefox browser?

I have tried

1. Updating Firefox - I am running the most up to date version 2. Updating Graphics Drivers- I am running the most up to date drivers(Updated yesterday 11/17/2024 3. Deleting Cache/History/Logs 4. removed or disables unneeded extensions that I don't use every day and only activate when I need them.

None of this has worked to increase performance.

P.S. I would also like to fix the problem where firefox is using too much RAM if possible.

Today I have installed Pocket on one of my Windows PCs in the Firefox browser. I got the symbol on the address bar and it works. Now I want to install Pocket on another PC, but I don't get the symbol. Without symbol I cannot use it. I can login to Pocket on the second PC and open saved URLs, but I cannot add Websites to my Pocket account. How do I get the symbol?

Hi, this AM South Australia time, Firefox did an update again. Later I needed to sign onto Ebay, which required a Capcha verification. After several attempts failed. EBay's solution was to use a different browser. Edge worked fine. What has happened?

I would like to be able to remove Firefox's default search shortcut keywords for a site while still being able to use my own shortcut for that site. For example, if I would like to set wikipedia.org to only "@wi", it will automatically be set to "@wi, @wikipedia". I can remove wikipedia as a search engine, but then I'm not able to set my own keyword. Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance.

Every few weeks or so I loose all logins on all sites on firefox ... I have settings to save login passwords however this forces me to re-login with all their 2FA etc

This has been happening for years

My guess is I have failed a login on say https://aws.amazon.com/ or some similarly highly sensitive site which triggers firefox to reset all logins on all sites. Sound familiar ? ... Any advice  ?

The issue with the slow loading of Youtube videos has been going on for quite some time. It can take 10-30 seconds for a video to completely load. It's not an issue with my PC as everyone I know has the same problem plus it has been documented many times. I hate having to use Chrome to access Youtube videos but I have no choice at this time. Please come up with a solution for this issue.

Hi, I've noticed that only a small percentage of the sites I pin to the New Page tab manage to load their favicons. Even well known sites like Google or Mozilla.org fail to load the image. So I tried to customize them with the "Custom Image URL" option, but they are not appearing either. They load at first when I hit "preview", but they fail to load once I press "save".

It seems the code is not even loading the appropriate resource, which—I think—should be placed in a 'style' attribute with a 'background-image:url()' CSS property, with the image path placed between the parentheses. I also checked the thumbnails folder (AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\nt5cyawc.default-release\thumbnails), and I found the image is properly saved there, so it's the browser who's not loading them for some reason.

I was able to use it this morning, but now it is blocked. The help is not helpful because it only says to open the link in a new tab which does not make any difference. I get this same error randomly on marthastewart.com, foodandwine. com and others.

How do I tell firefox that these pages are okay? I have added them all in the exceptions part of enhanced tracking, but that does not make any difference.

Please advise if this was a bug that occurred after your 11/12 Tues. update. It appears that a patch of some sort was sent on 11/16 Saturday, but it did not help with bookmarks. I hope I don't have to use a different browser in order to save bookmarks or favorites. I also lost my Norton and Ad Muncher & had to re-set those again. I hope you have a fix for this as Firefox had a problem similar to this in late October '24. I really appreciated the stability prior to this. Thank you. P.S. What does this mean on my Firefox Settings page? Information "Your browser is being managed by your organization."

Here's one for any techies. For updates (or download). does Firefox for Windows use AppX Deployment Server (dll) directly or via maybe Windows App Installer? I don't understand any of this stuff but the dll is faulty and is destroying every Windows app which foolishly tries to update with it. I beieve it's just done for Windows App Installer among its many scalps I can't system restore, probably due to a dodgy disk drive. I don't want to lose Firefox. Help!

First, many of the URLs from my many stored bookmarks mysteriously disappeared. Second, I went to the Library Import and Backup and hit Restore choosing the most recent File. That led to "UNABLE TO PROCESS THE BACKUP FILE" but also erased ALL my bookmarks! Have tried to restore using some of the other 15 files but always get the same failure message. Please help. Thanks

Receiving this error from www.hertz.com (only) when using Firefox 132.0.2 on Win10. Other browsers (Chrome, Edge) do not exhibit this problem. I have tried both "Private" and non Private modes in Firefox with no difference. Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I was recently looking through suggestions that Firefox automatically gives me when clicking on search or login input fields on different websites. I noticed that they seem to be consistent even after reinstalling my browser or system, as long as I log into my Mozilla account (even though I have completely removed all my stored passwords from Firefox, and disabled the feature that stores them). I also noticed that I accidentally put an important password in the suggestions, and I would love to remove it somehow. I read in the help articles that the arrow keys and then shift+delete might work, but as soon as I press the arrow keys, the whole suggestion list gets covered by suggestions from the Bitwarden extension. It would be nice if that could be prevented somehow, and if there was a clear graphical way to remove the suggestions, perhaps a trash can icon on the right side?

My previous request for help regarding missing bookmarks was resolved with your suggestion. However, another problem remains since the last update: my open tabs have also disappeared, and there were quite a few, as I was making a survey of equipment to buy and I left each model on a tab, for later comparison. I lost them all and a lot of time too. Is there any process that allows me to recover the lost tabs?

The youtube videos' audio level is set to 2% at my browser. Couple of weeks ago, the audio starts with 2% but after 1-2 seconds the video plays, audio raises up to exactly 50% by itself. I have to lower it everytime manually whenever I open a new video.
