  1. Using Firefox 4.0 or 4.0.1 is not suggested.
    • Firefox 5 is a security and stability update for Firefox 4.0.1.
    • There are known security issues in Firefox 4.0.1 and more know security issues in Firefox 4.0 than in Firefox 4.0.1.
    • Firefox 3.6.18 is more secure than either Firefox 4 version, but Firefox 3.6.18 is scheduled to only be supported for 2-3 more months
  2. Many users have returned the functionality of the Google toolbar in Firefox 5 by installing the following add-on.

You need to update the following. The Plugin version(s) shown below was/were submitted with your question and is/are out of date. You should update to avoid known security issues with the version(s) you have installed. Click on "More system info..." to the right of your question to see what was included with your question.
