Can't import old emails from Juno
I am finally closing my paid Juno account and would like to have access to all of my old emails from there in Thunderbird. Related questions have been asked before, but I think that people who have not used Juno email do not understand how it works. Thunderbird will obtain emails from the Juno Webmail site just fine. However, once you check messages using the Juno software that is on your computer, it downloads them into that and they are no longer available on Webmail. I haven't figured out a way to get those emails onto Thunderbird or anywhere else. Juno has a backup system that can save them in a single file (.jbk), which you can use to import them to Juno on a new computer, etc. This does not appear to be a type of file that Thunderbird can recognise. So my many years of old emails are stuck in Juno because their system is apparently not compatible with any other. Is there any way to move them into anything else?

I see Juno (the email client, not the ISP)
UseJuno5bdb to convert the folders to mbox files. Then import them using the ImportExportTools extension. See [1] if you use a version of the Juno client before 5.0.
The linked utility may work for you or it may not. I have no direct knowledge either of juno client or the utility.

Since Thunderbird can get them off the server, then one way to do this would be to put all your messages back on the server. Will their client allow you to import from your backup file and copy them back to the server? Is it like IMAP, ie two way, or more like POP?
It is POP. I don't think there is a way to get them back on the server.

This worked! Thank you very much. I had all but given up. Now I have my emails from 2003 to now in a more useable form.
