Hi bmaup, we're going to need some more context. Where do the highlights appear?/ If it's on a web page, what page is it?

Perhaps it would be helpful to post an image showing the situation. This article has tips on that: How do I create a screenshot of my problem? Please cut out or blur any sensitive information in the image before attaching it to your reply.

I can only delete one highlight at a time with the dismiss of delete from history button. Is the there any way to delete groups of them at a time ?? I don't want them to build up and cause any new problems for me as I am a 76 six year old amateur who has problems keeping things cleaned out now ! I believe this is my home page ??? Thnx Mike

Hi Mike, you can use the Library dialog to search in your history, select batches of entries at a time, etc. To open that, either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+h
  • menu > History > Show All History

This list works similarly to how your Windows Explorer file manager works. To select multiple entries, click one once (don't double-click or the page will load), then hold down the Ctrl key while clicking other entries. Once you have all the unwanted entries selected, you can press the Delete key to remove them all at once.

I can only delete one highlight SQUARE at a time with the dismiss or delete from history button located above each square ! I do not know how to explain it any better than that !

Sorry, I didn't look at the picture closely enough.

That looks like a "Test Pilot" experiment called "Activity Stream" (https://testpilot.firefox.com/experim.../activity-stream). I haven't tried it myself.

The Test Pilot team has a forum for that experiment where you could ask the people in the best position to know, as well as give feedback on this and other experiments:
