Website Access Denial
There are websites that can’t be fully accessed unless ad blocking is disabled. For those sites, I not only have Ad Blocker Plus turned off, but also have exempted them from Firefox’s enhanced tracking protection. Yet, I can’t get in. This denial only happens with Mozilla Firefox. If I copy and paste the website’s URL from Firefox into Google Chrome and/or Microsoft Edge (where ad blocking is also turned off), I gain full access.
Firefox tells me it is up to date (March 11, 2021), version 86.0 (64-bit). Is there some Firefox setting--other than enhanced tracking--that needs to be tweaked so I don't have to switch between browsers?

Can you provide an example of such a website?
For that site, my adblocker is off, the URL is whitelisted, and Firefox's enhanced tracking protection is off. Yet, every time I go there, I'm presented with a notice saying I'm using an ad blocker. (I am; but it's off). I've been in touch with the people at Weather Bug about this, but they're as stumped as I. If I use Chrome or Edge--with adblocker turned off, of course--I don't get that warning. I have full access to the site. This issue is only with Firefox.
I've also had the same problem at a site I stopped visiting a year ago: cbs.com. I used to go there to watch every season's episodes of "Survivor" until I was told to turned off adblocker. Even after I did (as well as whitelisting the site and turning off enhanced tracking protection for it), I couldn't watch the series anymore. I contacted "help" about that, but never heard back. Now, I just use Chrome or Edge.
can you try create a new profile (about:profiles) and install only that extension?
what's the warning? im using ublock origin (all filters enabled) and i didn't see any warnings.
God bless you, Eric. You get an A+ for effort (which I GREATLY appreciate!) I have a question regarding your suggestion: Should I remove AdBlockPlus and use UBlock Origin instead, or--if you know--can both extensions be on Firefox without any problem or conflict?
Will
You don't need both extensions.
Do you recommend I remove AdBlockPlus and install uBlock Origin?
That's what I did a long time ago but I forget why. uBlock Origin seems to be mentioned often. You could compare usage and ratings on the Mozilla addons site.

I read lots of reviews of uBlock and comparisons between it and AdBlock before adding the extension to Firefox. Now that I did, I can get into WeatherBug without first having to click on its "continue without disabling" text. It's a small thing, but saving one click is still a savings. I'm hoping that I'll be able to watch the next season of Survivor at CBS after a its pandemic interruption is over. ~ Although the problem with AdBlock Plus remains, using uBlock Origin is an excellent workaround. For that, I'm grateful! Thank you very much, Eric, for providing a solution! You've done a good deed.
