Sending email with out typing in body of email

We use Thunderbird as our outgoing email for our estimating software. Recently, when you try to send an estimate or photo file, thunderbird just sends it without opening the "compose email" window. It started after the last update. Our estimating software is CCC, it's collision estimating software.
