I added an RSS reader addon (Brief); Popup is asking "What Should Firefox Do With This File" after clicking an RSS file; how do I specify the Brief addon?
Firefox is asking for a specific Helper Application to open the application/rss+xml file after I click on an RSS Feed icon to add it to my feed list.
In the "Opening/You Have Chosen To Open" popup window, I assume I should specify "Open with" instead of "Save" but then I have to click Browse and my new addon (Brief) does not appear in the list. I don't know how to find/specify it. Firefox is 65.0.1 (64 bit) on Windows 10. Please help.

Clicking on the Brief icon takes me to a page that says "You haven't added any feeds yet.
Not that icon. You need the other icon - inside the urlbar.
However, discovering feeds doesn't work very well in that extension.

Did you click the Brief icon in the URL bar? Or just a link to the rss file on a webpage?
I have tried both - can't make either work since Firefox removed native support for RSS.
Clicking on the Brief icon takes me to a page that says "You haven't added any feeds yet. See how to do it" (link to: moz-extension://cefbeb27-d8cd-490f-80fd-04145a58d7d5/ui/firstrun.xhtml?tutorial). The problem with this screen is that what is presented no longer valid - since Firefox removed native RSS support from the browser in late 2018. For example, the methods they show are based on Firefox facilitating a "Subscribe" function through Bookmarks, which it no longer does (since Release 64).
If I click on the RSS feed icon on the website I want to subscribe to, I get into the problem described in my initial question (see images there).
Thanks for your willingness to help. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks so much, Ty. I didn't see that one because it only appears on URLs with an RSS feed on the page (I have now observed). Problem solved. Thanks for your willingness to help other Firefox users.
