Thunderbird stopped working and crashes at startup. It fails also in safemode. Any idea?

Chosen solution

Okay I solved my problem somehow. I move the .thunderbird/ in a saved folder and let thunderbird reinitialize it. Thunderbird successfully launched.

Then I re-imported my profile (a folder like kgrmwc.default-release/) into .thunderbird/ and it magically worked!

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately "Crash Details" are of little value here. Please find your crash IDs in Help > Troubleshooting Information and post them here (as text, not a screen shot).

You mean, "Help" as in the menu of the application? The application immediately crashes so I don't have access to any meny of any sort.

Okay there have been multiple of them. I'm listing a few here:
