Some time back, I let Firefox install an update. Uninstalled it a short time later cause I was getting flooded with ads. Happened again. Tried to ignore it and not install it but it was like my computer was taken over by Microsoft, couldn't do anything. One window had something about Trojan something couldn't read it windows were overlapping. One said I needed to allow the Firefox update or they would freeze up my computer. I couldn't do anything so used the task manager to kill it all. Then allowed Firefox to update. Now have all the ads again. Also, in Firefox settings, something new. Top of page, message says: "Your browser is being managed by your organization." Click on it and see this:

Active Policy Name Policy Value Certificates ImportEnterpriseRoots true

My personal computer, no idea where this is coming from or what it means. Anyone tell me what's going on. Had some problems with PC Matic a while ago (not virus or anything), just decided I needed a change. When I tried to uninstall it, it was a real mess. Totally locked me out of one of my other computers.

Thought this one was OK. The other one will now boot but will not make it through a restart unless I skip the part of the restart that does malware checks

However, my husband is able to access all accounts on my phone, including including my provider cellular provider Verizon so he can change settings on any app he wants I like your app however I cannot even change my password. This started happening in the last couple of days. When I opened a new tab the cursor automatically went to the address bar and I immediately started typing. Now I immediately start typing out of habit and look up and see that nothing happened because the cursor isn't in the address bar. I have to click on the address bar to start typing now. I tried to find a solution to this and couldn't. I have no idea why it changed. thank you

I get this an awful lot with Newmax, with or without my vpn, makes no difference, and it also makes no sense. I can't believe that a major news site is a security threat vis-a-vis my dinky linux computer in Virginia. What's going on?

Hello. Today suddenly sound stopped working on Youtube and tried changing volume as well made sure there is no muting. I tried opening videos on Youtube via Chrome and sound was working fine. How to fix this issue on Firefox?

I have my ubuntu user firefox folder with all files from logins.json to sqllite db files

issue is logins.json has userid and passwords encrypted (json has encryption as Type 1) whereas when try to import it to windows Firefox it fails as it expects CSV to have plain text passwords not encrypted ones

How do I go about syncing my Windows Firefox such that I can get userid/paswords from ubuntu backed up files

Any help is much appreciated.

Good morning.

Long time regular user here. Why have the often used minimize, maximize and close options in the upper right hand corner of the Firefox for Linux been removed? I have seen numerous posts in online chat sessions complaining about the same problem? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated and I hope this issue is resolved quickly.

Firefox doesn't load a specific website: Amazon.fr

Other pages from Amazon (Amazon.com, Amazon.de .be . nl) have no problems. I can only access this page by cold starting my Mac. Once and only once! After that, the problem is there...

Also remove all data (settings / private / cookies / all data) doesn't solve the problem.

Info: Mac: Mac Sequoia Version 15.1.1 (24B91) Firefox: 133.0.3 (aarch64)

With other browsers (Chrome, Safari) there isn't any problem. In older versions of Firefox, there wasn't any problem.

Yesterday when I tried to open my gmail in Firefox I got this page coming up Clear cache & cookies

When you use a browser, like Chrome, it saves some information from websites in its cache and cookies. Clearing them fixes certain problems, like loading or formatting issues on sites. Computer AndroidiPhone & iPad In Chrome

   On your computer, open Chrome.
   At the top right, click More More and then Delete browsing data.
   Choose a time range, like Last hour or All time.
   Select the types of information you want to remove.
   Click Delete data.
       If you delete cookies while signed in to Chrome, you won't be signed out of your Google Account.

I'm concerned about deleting data, it's always worked until yesterday.

Should I follow these instructions?

I have a huge number of sites with logins that were remembered but none are now remembered and if I put in a new on that is not remembered and no prompt to remember is appearing. I have not reset anything. I still have a list of passwords and logins but none of those are working as being correct. Help please I need to be able to resolve this asap as there are important sites I cannot access.

I have tons of manga I keep up with and I separate them by category but this creates a lot of folders with a lot of entries. I want the bookmark panel to be a side panel so I can drag and drop updated bookmarks as well as having all entries in a folder be visible when browsing bookmarks.

That last part is the most important so I can quickly find specific things while scrolling
