How reverse old-to-new order in bookmark folder?
Creating a bookmark in a bookmark folder, eg by dropping a tab onto it, puts it at bottom. When you have many bookmarks, this means you must scroll for a looong time before you can reach it. I wish to reverse this order, ideally in a flexible way. The only option I can find is right-click folder and option to sort by name. There should be at least option to sort by date (a-/descending).
How can I do this? Any addon? Any register setting? Thank you!

Thank you, but unfortunately that does not help.
- In a bookmark folder/-s
- where I drop or add bookmarks
- I wish for the default behavior to be
- in order newest-to-oldest (as opposed to current oldest-to-newest).
The help page only deals with
Sorting by name Rearranging manually Sorted views in the Library window
Thank you, please keep coming with suggestions.

There used to be an extension to have more sorting options, but that extension is no longer maintained.

I have not tried the following add-on, but it sounds like a possibility for you. The first comment on the page, sounds as though the user has some conflict on his/her system that may be causing a problem. NOTE that the developer has no help site or forum, but only an e-mail address to work out problems. Review definitions of the settings on the following page carefully (provided by the developer) and choose your settings carefully after installation.

Here is something you can try. When you select save bookmark, the first or default folder listed is; Bookmarks Menu. Save the new bookmark here. Then <Control + Shift + B> to open all bookmarks. Select a location and create a new folder; My Sort, or something. Take the bookmark you just made from the bottom of Bookmarks Menu, and put it in the new folder. It will be on top. When you do this a second time, that bookmark would be the second one. And so on.
