I just migrated to a new IMSC. I have had firefox for years and it has been easy to put a web page (aol, etc) in my tool bar menu at top of screen. I cannot seem to get anything to move to tool bar. What am I doing wrong! I went to customize by the way and no assistance whatsoever

Hi, if I knew what a IMSC was....

So you have the Menu Bar turned on and I would guess you are talking about the Bookmarks Toolbar that you are having a issue with.

I went to customize by the way and no assistance whatsoever
I have no idea what you are leading to with this. Please expand on the what you would like to customize.

So you have tried drag and drop to the Bookmarks Toolbar and that does not work ? Have you tried dragging and dropping a URL into Bookmarks Title heading which opens bookmarks then dropping it into the Bookmarks Toolbar Folder ? What is it that you are trying to customize ?

Please save a copy of your Profile :

and always :

Please try once you have saved and backed up to Copy/Paste about:support into the Address Bar then go way down to Places Data Base and Click Verify. Please restart Firefox and see if that works.

If not please try : Refresh feature (called "Reset" in older Firefox versions) can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.

Note: When you use this feature, you will lose any extensions, toolbar customizations, and some preferences. See the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article for more information.

To Refresh Firefox:

  1. Open the Troubleshooting Information page using one of these methods:
    • Click the menu button New Fx Menu, click help Help-29 and select Troubleshooting Information. A new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
    • If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting Information page.
  2. At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Refresh Firefox" ("Reset Firefox" in older Firefox versions). Click on it.
  3. Firefox will close. After the refresh process is completed, Firefox will show a window with the information that is imported.
  4. Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.
