Why can't I get the Norton Toolbar? In menu, add-ons,extensions, it says Norton toolbar is incompatible & disabled.
I can't get norton toolbar for firefox 36. Have run Norton live update repeatedly; it updated everything fine and applied a patch. When I go to firefox menu>add-ons>extensions, Norton toolbar is grayed out and says it is incompatible with with firefox 36, and is disabled. Help!! I need my Norton vault.

hi Cathie7372, according to Norton the latest version of the toolbar compatible with firefox 36 is 2014.7.10.26 - yours shows as 2014.7.10.16...
as norton distributes the updates themselves we probably aren't able to help much - please contact norton's support if you aren't receiving the latest update even after running liveupdate repeatedly. they should be able to help you getting their product up-to-date.

I upgraded to FF40 after reading norton had a patch for the toolbar. Unfortunately, I didn't see the part that said they didn't have one for the standalone toolbar yet. My norton toolbar ended up disabled. There was no button to enable, no button to remove either. It was just in the list of addons disabled! I reported to mozilla that I was not happy and wanted my toolbar back! Well, now all norton toolbar versions have patches. I had to update the toolbar several times and then update FF40 to FF40.0.3 and restart my system a few times and finally there was an "enable" button! Yippee! I finally got my norton toolbar back!
