Firefox keeps loading an outdated webpage.
I am trying to visit the website www.theage.com.au whenever I go this URL, it loads the page from 27/01/2015. I think that is the last successfully load of the page I had. To fix, I have tried:
- uninstalling and re-installing Firefox. - doing CTRL-F5 to re-load the page. - clearing cache, cookies and history.
In the status bar down the bottom it cycles between "transferring data from the www.theage.com.au" and "Waiting for..." some ad stuff. The little green wheel just keeps spinning but the page never changes. I think eventually it just times out.
It is trying me mental.

Hi DRDR , Reinstalling Firefox does not necessarily try a new profile. See if it also happens in a new profile Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles
You can delete all history of a site from the about:permissions page and clicking "Forget this site"
You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.
It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.
