I have had an update to my hp laptop and now find that my thunderbird email on my laptop and phone are asking for a password. This has not been the case in the past. Would you please help me resolve this issue? Thanks

I use Thunderbird with my Hotmail mailbox. Sometimes the body of a message is missing. I just have a serial number like this "--0000000000003fb6ca0619db6a84--" When I connect directly to Hotmail via the web. I can see the body. Curious, isn't it ??

Received the following when trying to send an email

Sending of email failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Too many messages (2.3.2.3) from 2.95.334.23. Please check the message and try again.

All mailboxes erroneously show "no messages found"

You can go though the entire list on the left and all come up with the "no messages found" screen. The only solution is to restart/

This occurs after it has been working fine for hours, often after moving one of a few messages out of Inbox.

I use Thunderbird for email, when on MX Linux I use the Flatpack version. I've noticed that the Thunderbird configuration frequently resets itself, from using local folders on an adjacent disk, to a location within the Flatpack.

I know when this happens because I can then no longer send emails; I have to copy any text written, enter setup, re-select the desired folder, and re-start Thunderbird.

Can you please help with a fix for this issue?

Ever since the new version of Thunderbird I cannot send emails. I can receive them but not send them. I have found that if I temporarily disconnect my VPN, it sends OK. Your failure to provide software that can co-exist with a VPN without crapping itself is a poor advertisement for your product. I have read some of the millions of posts about this particular bug and your answers seem smug and lazy without addressing the problem.

I am running Thunderbird 128.5.0esr (64-bit) on 2 computers: a lenovo T480s and an HP EliteOne 750 Both are running Linux Mint 22. Both use gmail with the same config.(see pic). Comcast is my ISP

Problem If the computers are connected to my router by ethernet cable both can send emails

If I use WiFi neither computer will send. The "send" popup just spins.

I can send gmail from my iphone over the same wifi network

I tried hooking the computers up to a hotspot from my iphone; neither will send

Any ideas?

The global search in TB is completely defective. I am now running 128.2.0esr and hoped that update might fix it. It hasn't. I just wonder, are there any older or non ESR versions I can downgrade/move to, where the search is fully functional?

Hi all,

I have been having a recent issue with Thunderbird build 115.4.1 (64-bit). I've attached a picture. Every 24 hours or so I have to approve a security exception for my pop accounts. I have the make permanent check box checked but it keeps happening. This has been happening over the last 3-4 weeks. I am using Windows 11 (23H2). I've played with lots of different settings but nothing seems to fix the issue.

Sometimes, when I delete one email from the inbox, the inbox shows "no message found", even though there are still other emails in the inbox. The remaining emails are still in the inbox, they just don't show. If I right click on inbox in the left panel, and select "open in new tab", the remaining emails show in the new tab, just not in the main inbox. If I close out thunderbird and start it again, the emails show in the main inbox. The problem occurs occasionally, whether I select delete from the menu bar, hit the delete key, or right click on the entry and select the trash can icon.

This problem started maybe 10 or more updates ago. For each new update I think "surely it will be fixed this time".

I have included a partial screenshot of what it looks like after the problem occurs.

This problem is different than any other questions I have found in the search. It purely a visual presentation error, not disastrous, just highly annoying. Any solutions will be greatly appreciated.

The bulk filtering stopped working correctly a couple of months ago. Earlier on it stopped spam and I had the possibilty to mark a message as "Not junk", the filter then learned that messages from this sender was not junk. Today the filter is not learning. If it stopped a message and I marked it as "not junk", it´s not learning and will continue to stop messages from this sender.

I get an error when I try to compact the Trash (after deleting emails). I am able to compact all others with no problems. See the jpg image file attached. Thanks. Brad

Bonjour à tous et à toutes, J'ai le message suivant depuis le 28 novembre 2024: "Mozilla Thunderbird ne répond pas, ce qui m'embête le plus c'est que je n'arrive plus à récupérer sur ce poste mes messages envoyés, peut-on les récupérer sur un autre poste ? car j'ai d'autres postes où Mozilla Thunderbird fonctionne.
