I'm using windows 11. Formerly, I was downloading videos from YouTube to folders on my virtual desktop, with no problem. When selected the video which I wanted to save, a window from File Explorer would open, and I could select where I wanted to store the file. I could select a folder I created, on the desktop, and the file would be saved exactly where I wanted it. Lately, the File Explorer window which opens up, has a different menu, which shows the cloud of One Drive, which wasn't there before, and the only selection for "desktop" is there. The downloads always fail, and I can't even find them on the cloud. The Microsoft techs claim that the problem is with FireFox. How do I get back to normal?

This was functioning with the previous version of Thunderbird, but now my IT team requires additional information about what the app is trying to do with our Office 365 environment. I recently (a week or two ago) updated my Thunderbird mailer to version 132.0.2, and it ran fine. Then two days ago I updated the MacOS on my 2018nMacBook Pro laptop from 15.1.0 to 15.1.1. Now Thunderbird crashes when I attempt to open it.

I have a several weeks old "time machine" backup that I could roll everything back to, but prefer not to lose the work I've done in the intervening time.

Suggestions?

I would like its icon to appear in the toolbar, along with those for NoScript, Simple Translate, and others. But clicking the "gear" icon in the toolbar brings up a list of all installed extensions, and there is no "gear" icon next to any of them.

Hello there! I'm a relatively new Firefox user that started using it around a month ago. The main reason is that it's currently the only browser that has smooth video streaming across other browsers I tried when I also do more demanding things on a secondary screen. However, since I started using it, I am facing a weird issue, where I am being randomly disconnected from chat on twitch.tv channels. It mostly happens on chats that are offline - but are still actively used by others - and sometimes, but rather rarely, happens on chats that are online but are slower - the error also seem to be different on those. It always looks like this: I connect to chat, use it just fine, then suddenly I get the message on the bottom saying "Connecting to chat". It usually takes a second, maybe two tops to reconnect. I have checked the page using Inspect function, and noticed an error that appears when those reconnections occur: "The connection to wss://irc-ws.chat.twitch.tv/ was interrupted while the page was loading". But the page is loaded already. I didn't refresh it or anything like that. So what gives? I have tested other browsers - Edge, Chrome, Opera - however it seems that the problem is Firefox-centric. The same chat on the aforementioned apps do not have the same problem while Firefox is happily reconnecting me here and there. I have tried clearing cache and cookies, I also tested in private mode without extensions, and in Troubleshooting mode, but to no avail. I also did a full Refresh of the browser, but the error returned after a day. I am attaching some screenshots that I did during the investigation for documentation. I was in contact with my ISP and Twitch Support, but on both ends was told that no problems were found. And so I am coming to the direct Firefox support. Any advice would be appreciated!

Apologies if this is a very basic question but I've searched for an answer and not found one that works. I'm using Thunderbird 128.4.3 on a Windows 10 desktop PC.

If I click on a message which already has several replies, each reply is opened in a separate tab. I thought there was an alternative to this, and indeed a found a piece about it, which includes this advice:

Enable threading on a folder... Open the View menu... In the Sort by submenu, choose Threaded. Your messages will be bundled into tree structures that can be expanded or collapsed with the > or v arrow next to the subject.

Unfortunately, when I looked at the settings for a few of my folders, the Threaded option was already ticked. But the ladder-with-indents display I w as expecting (and hoping for) doesn't appear. I'd be grateful for any advice.

Everything is fine on Zoho but I can't find anything about syncing for Thunderbird. I am looking for CalDAV but it doesn't exist for my calendars.

Hello, I am running Firefox on a W10-Pro PC. I always click the lock to check certificate validation. In the last month I keep seeing "Connection verified by a certificate issuer that is not recognized by Mozilla".

When I click for more information I see that "Norton Web/Mail Shield" does not recognize the certificate issuer. When I click on Learn More it takes me to a Firefox site "How to disable the Enterprise Roots preference" I also checked W10 certmgr.msc and I see Norton is listed. Images included below. I am running Thunderbird snap 128 esr on Ubuntu 24.4. A few days ago the usual alert popped up advising me that a new version of Thunderbird was available. I duly closed the programme, waited a little while and then reopened it. But on checking I found that it was still stuck on 128.4.2, while the release notes say that the latest version is 128.4.4. Yesterday the alert appeared again. I again closed and opened the programme but found it to be still on 12.4.2. The same thing happened again today. Any idea why Thunderbird is apparently not updating? NB: Each day the alert is reducing by one the number of days in which it says Thunderbird will be automatically updated.

Firefox abruptly stopped working on my MacBook Air. When logged in as the admin, Firefox works fine. When a 2nd user logs into an account on the Mac, and tries to open Firefox, Firefox asks to install a helper tool. If I do so (with the admin credentials), the helper tool prompt goes away, but then if I click to open Firefox the icon just bounces and I get an "application not responding" warning.

I have tried refreshing Firefox from the admin account. I deleted Firefox and deleted all user profiles, re-installed Firefox, and still the same thing happens (works fine on admin account, does not work for any other user on the Mac). I am also unable to open Firefox in troubleshoot mode (option key). Even with the option key the Firefox icon bounces on the dock and never opens.

I can't share any data because I can't open the app.

Any help would be appreciated.
