My computer crashed but it has been fixed. Now I cannot start Thunderbird. I got the error message as shown by the attached screenshot:

thunderbird.exe - Bad Image

C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\nss3.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status oxcooool 2f.

I can reinstall Thunderbird. Will I be able to recover all my emails (there are thousands)? Is there another remedy?

Chosen solution

Email accounts should remain unaffected with a reinstall. I've done it several times. However, whenever anything such as that is intended, I do a profile backup for security against some unanticipated happening.

Thank you. The profiles are backed up to the cloud daily. I am going to reinstall Thunderbird.
