TB reopens previously closed tabs on startup
Hi,
TB 91.2.0
If I close tabs during a session, then quit TB and restart, the tabs reappear.
I found another forum post for exactly this problem and the response given was to delete session.json in the profile folder.
I do not find such a file in my folder.
Closest is; sessionCheckpoints.json
Any help is much appreciated.

Hi. A completely missing session.json file? Did you have Thunderbird shut down when you went looking for it? If not, check again. Did you get to the profile folder by using Help - Troubleshooting - Open folder? (Just in case there are old profiles - the path in Help Troubleshooting should get you to the current default profile.) Is your profile somewhere unusual like a shared/network/removable drive? Each time you reopen Thunderbird, are the tabs that open always the same, or do they change to tabs you opened and closed in the previous session? Do you have any add-ons? Try disabling them and start/close Thunderbird a few times. Is there anything else you noticed that is not behaving as expected? Error messages?

Hi AgnesRM
Thank you for your reply and good insights.
Yes, I used the approach; Help - Troubleshooting - Open folder
But guess what? It opened the wrong folder. It opened a folder in an entirely different Path then the one I am using.
When I went to correct folder, I found session.json and deleted it.
It works well now.
Thank you for your assistance !

Hmm, well Thunderbird opening the wrong profile in Help is troubling too. I do not recommend editing profiles.ini without more expert help than mine! You might look at it though and ask again if something is amiss.
