Standard search engine in Thunderbird 78.x
only Google is given as a search engine. In the past versions of Thunderbird it was possible to select Bing or others search engines. How to add a search engine different from Google in Thunderbird versions 78.x , 64bit ?
Chosen solution
Maybe your current profile has been in use since before the other options were added. See if they appear in a new profile created from Help/Troubleshooting, about:profiles. If they do, you can try copying search.json.mozlz4 from the new profile to the old one (after backing up the one in the old profile), while TB is closed, and see if the options appear in the old profile when TB is restarted.

In my TB 78/W10 there are several default search engines (see picture). Which other ones do you wish to add?
I had exactly those possibilities of selection with past version of Thunderbird, now I have only Google. Other search engines are not offered. Thunderbird 64bit, Windows 10 x64 20H2.
