If you have any set up as POP3 and not set keep on server then they will be downloaded and deleted from server. (Thats POP3 protocol)

If you on IMAP-accounts move (not copy) anything outside your account-folders it will be deleted on server.

Check this up first.

Often its a mobile that does it. When you delete a message on mobile and then syncing with server the server-original is consequently deleted.

I meant in account settings/ server settings (see image) Using POP3 and several email clients on different units is tricky. every one has to be set to leave message on server

I have that already. I want then back to the web email account.

If you have them localy and have a pop3 account then the only way I can think of is mailing them to yourself. Check also that you havent reach any limits or time-settings on server as well as in Thunderbird.
