Original mail disappears when forwarding if I inadvertently attempt an edit of the original.
This problem occurs when I am creating a reply to an incoming mail. After hitting the reply button, I will sometimes inadvertantly mix up (click on) the original mail message rather than the response I'm typing. This happens when my desktop is crowded and because of the way the reply message stacks on top of the original. Anyway, If I inadvertently attempt to edit or delete any part of the ORIGINAL mail, it just disappears in a flash, without warning, as if it has been deleted. Now, I know that original mail cannot be edited but why does it disappear? My reply message remains OK but the original disappears without a trace. Where does it go? Can it be retrieved?

I would suggest moving either the compose/reply window or the message window so that they do not overlap. The new position of the window should be preserved.
I figured that part out already, thanks.
What I posted was an attempt to discover why the original mail disappears, where does it go, and can it be retrieved?
It's really annoying to have the original message just disappear on those occasions when I inadvertently to click on the wrong window.

It is probably some setting you have, but I have never had anything like that happen, and I cannot find anything in the interface that looks remotely like that.
