You can add a SIM PIN to prevent access to your SIM card. When enabled, any device containing the SIM card will request you to enter the PIN on startup.
Setting the SIM PIN
In order to be able to set the SIM PIN it would have to be done in the settings section of the phone.
- Tap on to open the Settings.
- Scroll down to
- To turn on the SIM PIN, tap the switch to toggle it on.
- The blue color means that the PIN is activated.
- You will then be asked to create a 4-8 digit SIM PIN.
- To set a SIM PIN, tap to open your settings.
- Tap , and then .
- Tap the switch next to your desired SIM card. (The blue color means it's activated.)
- Enter your desired 4-8 digit PIN on the next screen, then tap .
Write down your PIN and hide it in a safe place. Without this PIN, you will no longer be able to place calls or send messages using your SIM card.
Changing the PIN
To change the SIM PIN, you would have to go the same place in your settings but do the following instead:

To change the SIM PIN, return to the same place in your settings but do the following instead:
- Tap the button right underneath the activated SIM PIN.
- Enter a new SIM PIN.
The SIM PIN is not the same as the passcode used to unlock your device. See Setting the Screen Lock for more information.
