How To Record Videos
- Tap to open the camera app. You might see a screen asking if you want to allow geolocation, select Allow or Deny. You can always change this later in your settings. Go to Settings > App Permissions > Camera to adjust the Geolocation setting for your camera app.
- If you do not see the video icon () highlighted in blue, then you are in photo mode. Tap to change the camera app to video mode. Here's a screenshot that shows the camera app's video mode:
- Position your camera to what needs to be taken and then tap to start recording. Tip: Rotating the device to landscape mode might give a video that shows better on a computer or TV screen.
- Tap it again to stop recording when you're finished recording.
- Your video should now be captured and a thumbnail of the video will be displayed for half a second. If you want to share or delete this video, tap on the video thumbnail.
Note: You can always delete or share videos later from the gallery.

- At the bottom of the screen, switch to video mode by tapping the video camera icon:
- The camera button will change to a record button:
- Position your camera and tap the record button to start recording.
- Tip: Rotating the device to landscape mode might give a video that shows better on a computer or TV screen.
- Tap it again to stop recording.
- A preview of your video will appear. It will also be saved in the Gallery, where you can share or delete it.
Tips: Use the controls at the top to rotate the camera or change the settings and timer options.
