Forum Response - OMTC issues in Firefox 33

This article is no longer maintained, so its content might be out of date.

Hello,

Firefox has implemented a new, faster way of loading webpages in Version 33 called OMTC. This new feature may cause black or blank webpages when you start Firefox or on some sites. The problem does not happen if you turn off hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Mozilla has released a new Firefox version that should fix the problem so please update Firefox to the latest version. If you are in Firefox and can see your menus, you can update Firefox from the Help menu:

  • Click the menu button New Fx Menu, click help Help-29 and select About Firefox.

If you can't use the Firefox menus, you can go to www.mozilla.org using Internet Explorer or another browser to download and install the latest version of Firefox.

See Firefox shows a black screen or blank screen after updating to 33 for more information.

Please let us know if this solves the problem.

Thank you.
