1. Download the latest version of AVG Free or AVG Full edition.
2. Restart your computer
3. Run the installer you just downloaded -- it will overwrite the existing AVG install.

Disable AVG Safe Search

If you can open Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode, you may be able to disable AVG extensions such as AVG Safe Search.

Click the menu button , click Help, select Troubleshoot Mode… and click Restart in the Restart Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode? dialog.

1. Select Continue In Safe Mode.
2. From the Tools menu select Add-ons.
3. Select the Extensions panel.
4. Select AVG Safe Search and click Disable.
5. Click on Restart Firefox.
